Energy Work can be a profound experience.  It can also be difficult to put into context as it is, for many of us a state which is so different than our everyday experience. The connection between a trained, grounded practitioner and a patient is akin to assisted meditation.  

How is this possible?  Most people have heard of electrostimulating TENS units.  TENS units operate at a thousandth of an amp and are effective for blocking pain signals.  But what about healing?  In terms of repair, cells in the human body respond far better to microcurrent - a millionth of an amp, stimulating the production of ATP (adenosine trisphosphate): the "molecular currency" for all biological processes.   We run on electricity.  If we didn't, heart and brain monitors would have nothing to measure.  Our cells are maintaining a proper gradient of sodium and potassium to produce an electrical current, much the way a battery works.  

The work being done in the field of Personalized Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation shows that much of our temperment, motor functioning, and emotional availability, are the result of the frequency our brain is operating at.

It may be that energy work therapies are ways for people to transmit microcurrent to others for health, healing, and transformation.
